Wichita Newborn Photography started from a simple observation: families here were driving out of state, or booking whoever happened to have an opening, just to find a photographer who actually specializes in the delicate, particular work of photographing a baby in its first two weeks. Newborn photography isn't the same skill as a wedding or an event — it asks for patience, a warm studio, safe posing, and a photographer who's genuinely comfortable letting a session run long if that's what the baby needs. We built this studio around that specialization instead of treating newborns as one more thing a general photographer offers on the side.
Our team's background is in portrait photography and hands-on newborn safety and posing training. We shoot in-studio for newborn sessions and both in-studio and on-location for maternity, milestone, and family sessions, and we keep our calendar deliberately unhurried — we'd rather book fewer sessions and give each family real time than rush a baby's first portraits.
Every pose is trained and tested — no pose is worth rushing or forcing for the sake of a picture.
We build extra time into every newborn session and follow feeding and settling needs, not a fixed appointment slot.
