Ideally during pregnancy. Newborn sessions are best photographed within the first two weeks, when babies are still sleepy and easy to pose, so we recommend reserving a flexible date around your due date rather than waiting until after the baby arrives.

Newborn sessions typically run longer than people expect, since we build in time for feeding and settling. Maternity, milestone, and family sessions are generally shorter and more predictable, but we never rush a session to hit a fixed end time.
